Prestige started with a simple frustration.

In 2021, I was getting ready for a first date — the kind where you try on four different outfits and still don't feel right. The shoes were the problem. Everything I found on the market that promised extra height was either painfully uncomfortable, obviously bulky, or just looked cheap. I remember standing in front of the mirror thinking: why does confidence always have to come with a trade-off?

That question stuck with me. I wasn't a shoemaker. I wasn't in fashion. I was just someone who saw a real gap — thousands of men wanted the same thing I did, but nobody was building it properly. Most height-increasing shoes on the market felt like an afterthought: functional, maybe, but never something you'd actually be proud to wear. I wanted to build the opposite — a shoe you'd choose even if the extra height wasn't the reason.

So I started digging. I researched sole construction and material choices. I tested dozens of prototypes, wore them myself for weeks at a time, and asked friends honest, sometimes uncomfortable questions: does this look natural? Does this feel like a real shoe, or like you're hiding something? Most early versions failed that test. It took over a year of iteration before the first pair finally felt right — not just taller, but genuinely good.

What started as a stubborn side project in my own apartment has grown into Prestige — now worn by men around the world who wanted the same thing I did: to walk into a room feeling like the best version of themselves, without compromise.

Every pair we make still gets held to the standard I set on day one: if it doesn't feel like a shoe I'd be proud to wear — height boost aside — it doesn't leave the workshop. Founder Luca
